พรพรสำฦตโ€™s Mary Butler named one of Atlantic Canadaโ€™s Top 50 CEOs

Atlantic Business magazine named Mary Butler, President and CEO of พรพรสำฦต, to its annual list of the Top 50 CEOs in Atlantic Canada at an Awards Gala in Halifax, N.S. last night. The award recognizes Butler’s role in leading พรพรสำฦต’s work to transform post-secondary education.

“To train the workforce of tomorrow, we can’t rely on how we do things today,” said Butler. “We’re changing the face of post-secondary education, focusing on new models of delivery, new approaches to teaching, and a renewed commitment to ensuring everyone has access to quality education.”

Since Butler took the helm as President and CEO in 2019, พรพรสำฦต’s enrolment has increased by more than 33 per cent, from 9,361 in 2018-2019 to 12,460 in 2021-2022. Butler has also committed to a strengthened culture of excellence and learning, with improved processes, modernized infrastructure, and aligned resources that support educational innovation, inspiring staff and students to go beyond in all that they do.

As New Brunswick faces an aging workforce, the lowest post-secondary education attainment in the country, skills and labour shortages, and a high percentage of jobs at risk of automation and technical disruption, พรพรสำฦต is working to flip the script. The College is leading post-secondary advances in micro-credentials, diverse learner pathways, alternative delivery methods, automated prior learning and experience recognition, and the use of technology.

“We’re charting a course to accelerate skills development by creating fast, flexible training opportunities that meet the needs of learners and employers; innovate educational delivery through the use of new tools, technology, spaces, and partnerships; and reach unprecedented numbers of New Brunswickers by reducing the barriers that prevent people from seeking post-secondary education,” said Butler.

“We’re upping our game, including what we expect of ourselves and what we deliver in return for public and private investment in พรพรสำฦต.”
