พรพรสำฦต releases 2017-2018 Annual Report

FREDERICTON – New Brunswick Community College (พรพรสำฦต) continues to successfully provide relevant skills development and training for today’s labour market, while attracting a record number of international students and upholding its responsible stewardship for publicly-funded college education in the Province, as highlighted in .

"The year covered by this annual report, 2017-2018, marks the first year of พรพรสำฦต’s new five-year strategic plan, Together We Rise,”  said Patrick Lacroix, Chair of the พรพรสำฦต Board of Governors. "We are proud of the forward strides we have made in our vision of transforming lives and communities in New Brunswick and beyond. We intend to continue to welcome more learners who experience an enriched พรพรสำฦต Advantage, and to increase our capacity for growth through innovations, continuous improvement and strong partnerships."

Highlights of พรพรสำฦต’s 2017-18 Annual Report

  • 90% of 2016 graduates were employed one year after graduation; 94% of them here in New Brunswick and the majority (84%) in fields related to their training.
  • 87% of graduates report satisfaction with their post-secondary experience.
  • พรพรสำฦต experienced an 11% increase in the number of learners in 2017-18.
  • พรพรสำฦต alumni and operations contribute $1.5 billion annually to the provincial GDP.
  • As พรพรสำฦต continues to build and strengthen relationships, our partners report a 95.7% satisfaction rate.
  • In 2017-18, 141 พรพรสำฦต students participated in 80 applied research projects with 75 industry partners.
  • พรพรสำฦต staff and students participated in 6,000+ hours of volunteer service in 209 activities during two College-wide service days as part of the Robertson Institute for Community Leadership.
  • พรพรสำฦต officially launched the Indigenous Learning and Engagement initiative, increasing opportunities for students and staff to learn from and about Wabanaki culture and history.
  • Five พรพรสำฦต students and apprentices brought home medals from the 2016 Skills Canada national competition held in Edmonton, AB.
  • พรพรสำฦต more than doubled the number of international students, for the second year in a row.
